Dr. Fritz sees several men and women from the Jacksonville and Fleming Island community who are harmed while working. According to the National Safety Council, the most common type of work injury is musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs), which involves trauma to the muscles, nerves, tendons, ligaments and joints. MSDs account for more than one third of all workplace accidents.
The most frequent type of MSD is a strain, which is trauma to a muscle or tendon. Strains are caused by lifting, pushing or pulling too much weight, or by doing repetitive movements. Other common MSDs are carpal tunnel syndrome, tendinitis and back problems.
These injuries can be stopped by using appropriate lifting techniques, taking many breaks and using ergonomic tools. Employers can also help prevent injuries by providing their employees educational sources on how to avoid getting hurt at work.
Back pain and injuries are a usual issue that Dr. Fritz sees in our #Ciyt# office and we also work with folks who have shoulder or neck issues.
If you have sustained a work injury or accident and live in the Jacksonville and Fleming Island area, give Dr. Fritz a call and schedule an appointment today. We will work with you to create a treatment plan that will help you get relief and do our best to have you back on the job as quick as we can!
